The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.

We are a national nonprofit, self-help organization with almost 600 local chapters.

The Chapel Hill Area Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets at 7:00-8:30 PM on the third Monday of every month.

Location: Evergreen United Methodist Church, 11098 N US 15-501 Hwy, Chapel Hill - Just south of Mann's Chapel Road

Our next meetings will be December 15, 2008 and January 19, 2009.

Our meetings are open to all family members who are grieving the death of a child.
There is no religious affiliation and no dues or fees. There are a free chapter lending library and a free bi-monthly newsletter. We want everyone to feel comfortable so feel free to bring a supportive family member or friend with you.
